So I know this blog is all about Trondheim, but I'm starting it a little eairly in Amsterdam. Get over it :) The blog site itself is very much under construction still, because I coded it in an hour in a little cafe about 6 blocks from Amsterdam Centraal. So I am just posting this on my site for now. In a couple days you should be able to find the site at evanbtcohen.com/trondheim. Also note that I don't have the pictures up yet. They will come super soon. Likely tonight.
Lets get on with it!
I've gotten board with the design of this site. It's very likely that I will be redesigning it again in the next couple of weeks. I also hope to start writing some more substantial blogs, with some real unique content, instead of just little words from me here and there. It might even turn into a daily thing, who knows.
It was my full intention to releace gGroceries in some beta from by now, but man have I been busy. Here is what I've been up to:
I created a tribute page to Philharmonia Baroque for all the good times we've had. I made them a ringtone out of one of the pieces they are rehearing rite now "Messiah: He that dwelleth in heaven". If you have an interest you should check out the Philharmonia Baroque Ringtone Tribute Page.
Back to studying for finals D:
I didn't get the chance to make the modifications to gGroceries becaus this last week has been crazy, midterms all over the place. Hopefully after I finish my midterms I'll be able to get back on track. After that I plan on doing a public beta; go to the store and recrute people. I'll probably make a feedback form for the time being as well.
I finished off my new group grocery desktop and mobile web application last night around 5:00am. You can check out the per-release of gGrocery, if you make an account now I will do my best to keep your account and grocery list data in the final version. As of rite now I am doing alpha testing and as always any feedback you can offer me would be appreciated!
As a college student I often find it hard to remember what I need to buy when I go to the grocery store, having other people that I live with who also shop further complicates things. I live with a couple of friends (as many people in college do) and we wanted to straighten out what needed to be bought and when. The only logical thing to do was to find a group shopping list app. The thing about that is, they don't exist...
Trying to download iOS 5. It gave me a 4 hour download time. I guess every single apple junkie is downloading the new update at the same time. Bummer.
I know it's not just me, Siri makes me feel awkward. I don't think I can talk directly to my computer/phone without feeling weird. Not even when I am alone. It'll take some getting used to...
